With todayâ??s release of the new MaintenancePack, an improved and better featured version of CompanyCRYPT is available. The MaintenancePack will update your CompanyCRYPT to the latest release version. It is suitable to for updating all CompanyCRYPT versions beginning with level 1.4.0 and later.
Along with optimisations to the benefit of improved system stability, the following enhancements are included:- Improved - Decrypt summary display. The decrypt summary has been made compatible with a variety of charctersets including utf-8. Special character display should now be displayed properly in all commonly found character sets.
- Improved - Chipcard module
For all customers using the chipcard module a great deal of work has been spend on making it more reliable. - Improved - AdHoc template localisation. The AdHoc message templates may now be selected for each language individually.
- Improved management of keys. If 'On-demand key generation' is enabled then CompanyCRYPT will renew expired keys automatically.

With todayâ??s release of the new MaintenancePack, an improved and better featured version of CompanyCRYPT is available. The MaintenancePack will update your CompanyCRYPT to the latest release version. It is suitable to for updating all CompanyCRYPT versions beginning with level 1.4.0 and later.
Along with optimisations to the benefit of improved system stability, the module for S/MIME signature verification has received a complete revision. This enables CompanyCRYPT to perform a more thorough verification and to even verify signatures with unusual structuring. Other new features include:- The alternative AdHoc encryption now comes in three flavours. Besides the well established method based on a self-deflating archive, you may now alternatively select a 'pure' password protected ZIP that may either use AES encryption or a Windows compatible encryption.
- The revocation status of an S/MIME signing certificate may now be checked during the process of signature verification. By using the OCSP protocol the status is received online directly from the certificate issuing authority.
- The verification of an S/MIME signature may now be documented in form of a printable protocol. In form of an additional attachment it is available for signatures on whole messages as well as separate attachments. By this CompanyCRYPT provides a solid means of meeting legal obligations when checking and documenting incoming invoices.
- Templates for interaction with the end user have been optimised. Password notifications for example offer the use of additional tokens for an improved identification of the recipients.

S.I.T. announces the end of life of versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 of CompanyCRYPT. Customers with current support subscriptions are entitled to a free upgrade to the current version of CompanyCRYPT. The latest version at the time of this note is 1.4.1. S.I.T. will continue to provide technical support and give advice on these versions up to the 31.12.2008.

08.12.2006 | 20061208 CompanyCRYPT Update schliesst Sicherheitsleck in GnuPG
Another security update package has been released by GnuPG developers to fix the most recently detected exploit. Using malformed OpenPGP packets an attacker is theoretically able to execute arbitrary code. This exploit may be triggered by either using encrypted or signed data.
A Security update for CompanyCRYPT to update the fixed GnuPG module to version 1.4.6 is available in the Download Area.

According to the GnuPG developers the problem only occurs if the verifying process relies exclusively on the return code. Since CompanyCRYPT has always been using the text based GnuPG 'status report' (--status-fd) for evaluation, there has been no security leak at any time.

This HotFix solves a problem with the automatic key synchronisation. Under special conditions the synchronisation may 'hang' without resolving itself. However it is only relevant in distributed environments. This issue is being solved by this HotFix.

The new version 1.2.0 is now available and can be downloaded as an installer as well as an upgrade from version 1.1.7.
The new version 1.2.0 now fully supports the clustering ability of the MIMEsweeper. CompanyCRYPT is administrated on the 'Master' and the configuration along with the key material is automatically distributed to all 'Slave' systems. Furthermore CompanyCRYPT v1.2.0 offers an automatic key generation that is controlled by a reference list from the internal groupware. The operational safety has been improved by adding a complete system backup and restore functionality accessed via the web based interface.
